Celebrities dressed to impress on the red carpet of the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards in celebration of the most iconic music moments of the past year.

On Sunday (September 7), head-turning looks graced the VMAs carpet ahead of the ceremony, which is broadcasting live from UBS Arena in Elmont, New York.

Leading the pack of this year's nominees is Lady Gaga, who scored 12 nominations including Artist of the Year, Video of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Album. Gaga's "Die With a Smile" collaborator Bruno Mars follows closely with 11 nods. Other major nominees include Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, and all four members of BLACKPINK, Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé.

The VMAs performance lineup includes Gaga, Carpenter, Doja Cat, Post Malone, Tate McRae, Conan Gray, and Jelly Roll.

Music icons Mariah Carey and Ricky Martin will receive special honors, with the "Obsessed" singer set to accept the Video Vanguard Award and the Puerto Rico native being honored with the first-ever Latin Icon Award. The pair will also perform during the show, which will be hosted by LL Cool J.
