A manhunt is underway in Texas after a gunman opened fire at the Alas Locas sports bar in Cleveland, about 45 miles northeast of Houston, early Sunday (September 7). The attack left one person dead and five others injured. According to the Liberty County Sheriff's Office, the shooting occurred around 2:30 a.m. when the suspect, who had been sitting quietly drinking, suddenly began shooting at patrons on the bar's patio.

Witnesses reported that the gunman, who had arrived at the bar between midnight and 2 a.m., ordered a beer and remained mostly silent before the attack. The suspect fired at least 20 shots with a .40 or .45-caliber handgun before fleeing in a white full-size van with no side windows and a long scratch on the side.

The shooting resulted in one fatality, a man who was critically injured and later pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center. Two of the five injured individuals are in critical condition. Authorities have released images of the suspect and urge anyone with information to contact the Liberty County Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers
