Jeezy was shocked to learn he broke a Guinness World Record after he had the largest orchestra perform at his latest show in Las Vegas.
On Saturday, November 1, the Atlanta rapper hit the stage at the PH Live Resort & Casino as part of his "TM:101 Live" residency in Sin City. During the show, Jeezy was surprised by Guinness World Records adjudicator Andy Glass, who presented him with a certificate that confirmed he holds the World Record for having the largest orchestra perform at a Hip-Hop concert.
“This isn’t just a win for me — it’s a moment for the culture, for music, and for Vegas," Jeezy said.
“Thank you to every musician, every fan, and everyone who believed we could take this all the way," he continued. "A winner is a dreamer who never gave up!"
"It is always been my purpose to motivate and inspire my culture," Jeezy added on Instagram. "Thank you to everyone involved for believing in my vision. Couldn’t have done it without you. This one’s for the books…literally‼️"
DJ Drama and Adam Blackstone were on stage to help present Jeezy with the historic prize. The seasoned artist spent the past few months traveling with the 101-member Color of Noize orchestra to bring songs from his major-label debut, Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101, to life in honor of the album's 20th anniversary. After he launched "TM: 101 Live" in Miami, Jeezy, Drama, Blackstone, and the Color of Noize brought their rare show to major cities across the country.
The tour concluded in Detroit back in September, but Jeezy brought it back for his first-ever residency in Las Vegas. He hosted a pair of shows during Halloween weekend and plans to return for another two-night special featuring Nutcracker-themed concerts just in time for the holidays. If you haven't already, you can catch Jeezy on December 19 and 21.
Congratulations to Jeezy and his team!
