The Kid LAROI Sets Stage For 'Before I Forget' With Release Of New Single

New era loading — The Kid LAROI has announced his third studio album, Before I Forget, which is set to be released on January 9th, and previewed the upcoming project with the release of his new single, "A Perfect World."

On social media, the Australian singer/songwriter revealed that he had actually had an entirely different album up his sleeve before he decided to scrap it for Before I Forget. He shared, "I made this album in the last 4 months. I had a whole other album that was completed but I scrapped it. started again from scratch with the exception of 1 song. It's my favorite thing I’ve ever made. It's also the most personal thing I've ever made. sorry it’s taken a while. I hope that it resonates with you in some way cause it means a hell of a lot to me. I love you and thank you for supporting me always."

The album cover, shot in the South of France, features LAROI's head emerging from a pool of water, a visual that he feels encapsulates the album's essence. The album was co-produced and co-written by a team including Laroi's younger brother Auz, Dopam!ne, and several other producers.

In "A Perfect World," The Kid LAROI laments about going through a rough time in a relationship, singing in the chorus, "In a perfect world/ We'd have it all figured out/ Baby, you would be my girl/ And if they talk, let 'em talk, baby/ Ooh, I hate the way you love it when you hurt me/ Ooh, but we could stick it out and make it work, babe/ In a perfect world, yeah/ 'Cause I'm still here for what it's worth, baby."
