Adrian Shaw's first big claim to fame was as the bassist for the Crazy World of Arthur Brown. He played with a wide number of other bands later, most notably Crazy World of Arthur Brown spin-off Atomic Rooster. In 1977 he joined Hawkwind, having been asked several years before and turning them down. The group decided to call it quits the next year, leaving Shaw without a band once again.
