Александр Градский (Alexander Gradsky)

Alexander Gradsky (b. 1949) was a pioneer in Soviet rock music. A bright composer and a professional singer, he had a voice that could stretch over three octaves. In addition to writing and performing music, Gradsky was an interesting lyricist, and the variety of songs covered in Gradsky's repertoire was eclectic, ranging from traditional Russian folk songs redone with a twist of rock, to operatic arias.
