Big Hat

Big Hat was founded in the late '80s by Preston Klik (melodica, trumpet), Yvonne Bruner (vocals, tin whistle), Char-Malloy Baum (electric violin), and James Stallman (percussion). Debut album Hathead was followed by Shimmer in 1991. After a 1992 EP titled Inamorata, the ethereal band released Selena at My Window one year later and Taqueria del Muerte in 1994. Though Big Hat broke up soon after, Preston Klik formed a new band, My Scarlet Life. ~ John Bush
