Boris Skalsky

Boris Skalsky was a member of the Washington, D.C.-based band Phaser, appearing on the EP Life and Illusion/Sway (2002) and the album Sway (2003). When Phaser broke up, Skalsky began working solo, adopting the group name Dead Heart Bloom, with a self-titled album released in 2006, followed by Chelsea Diaries in 2007. By 2008, Dead Heart Bloom had evolved into a full-fledged band with other members in addition to Skalsky, and over the course of that year the group released three EPs, Fall In, In Chains, and Oh Mercy.
