Detroit's Charles "Gator" Moore was a member of the Transitions, a trio assembled by New Edition and Bell Biv DeVoe's Michael Bivins. The group, who combined throwback and contemporary approaches to R&B, were signed to Bivins' Uptown-supported, Universal-distributed Biv 10 label and released an album, Back in da Days, in 2001.
