Vocalist, bassist, and guitarist Curtis Young has earned the name "Mr. Harmony" from many of those in the music world. A Tennessee native, Young landed his first real music job around 1960, appearing on Knoxville's Tennessee Barn Dance. To support himself during those early years, he worked as a cameraman for a local television station. He also became lead singer for a band known as the Kountry Kings, performing with the group on the weekends.
