Daniel Bashta is a singer and songwriter of contemporary Christian music whose songs range from acoustic folk to rousing synth rock. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana to musical parents, his mother was a onetime pianist for the New Jersey Philharmonic and his father played guitar. Bashta began studying the violin at age three, moved on to the drums at eight, and taught himself guitar, bass, and piano in his teens, at the same time beginning to write his own songs.
