Biography
After appearing on American Idol in 2009, Danny Gokey initially took a swing at the country charts with his 2010 solo debut, My Best Days, before settling into a long running career as a Christian pop artist. His soulful, earnest style has landed him repeatedly at the top Billboard Christian chart, a run that began with his second album, 2014's Hope in Front of Me, then continued with 2017's Rise and 2021's Jesus People. By the time Gokey delivered his eighth album, 2024's Sound of Heaven, he was established as one of the most successful Christian artists of his generation.
