Born Lian Jingru on June 16, 1978, Fish Leong (her stage name) was a Malaysian born and Asian based Chinese and Malaysian pop ballad singer who was hugely popular in her home region, selling millions of records and winning countless awards. Leong got her start as a covers singer, eventually scoring a deal with Rock Records of Taiwan. Her debut album, Yi Ye Zhang Da, was released in 1999.
