Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, Jimmy ‘Jam' Harris (b. James Harris III, 6 June 1959, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA) and Terry Lewis (b. 21 November 1956, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA) are prolific producers of contemporary R&B and pop. The two first worked together in the early 80s as members of Time (formerly Flyte Time). Subsequently, Harris (keyboards) and Lewis (bass) became black music's most consistently successful production duo.
