b. Janina Irizarry, 4 August 1983, San Germán, Puerto Rico. This Latin pop singer rose to fame in her native Puerto Rico as the debut season winner of the reality television show Objetivo Fama. First screened in 2004 on the Univisión Puerto Rico channel and licensed to the Telefutura network in the USA, the show attracted large audiences throughout Latin America and it was a given that the winner would enjoy commercial success.
