Jimmy Norman

b. 12 August 1937, Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Norman is one of many talented and ubiquitous R&B performers who have had a modest but memorable impact on the music scene. His first professional experience was as a member of the Los Angeles group the Chargers, who recorded a couple of doo-wop records for RCA Records during 1958-59. The Chargers broke up in 1959 and Norman began recording as a solo act under producer H.B. Barnum, latterly with the Robins.
