Joe Valino

b. 9 March 1929, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. A pop-jazz vocalist in the mode of Frank Sinatra, Valino belongs to a breed of pop singers who were generally swept away in the late 50s with the advent of rock 'n' roll. His one hit, "Garden Of Eden", was a pop confection, but it had enough teen-appeal to reach many of the same buyers of rock 'n' roll in 1956.
