Jon Vinyl's heartfelt songs have a strong foundation in classic R&B but are wholly contemporary. The independent Canadian singer/songwriter began making a name for himself toward the tail-end of the 2010s, leading to a breakthrough in the 2020s with a pair of Juno-nominated recordings, Lost in You (2021) and the Palisade EP (2022). He has since released a second, unflashy if deeply expressive album, Heartbreak Hill (2023).
