Led by singer John Reid Lindner, this Colorado based band is rooted in Chicago blues and also rhythm and blues. Starting in the mid-eighties in the Boulder, Colorado area, Jonny Mogambo performed throughout the club and bar circuit. It was the same circuit where groups like Leftover Salmon, String Cheese Incident and Big Head Todd would hone their craft. In 1998, the group released its debut album Colorado Golden.
