Kable is the nom de psychedelia of Houston-based singer/songwriter Kay Bonya. After placing an early home-recorded track on the seminal neo-psych compilation Succour, Bonya recorded two full albums as Kable, both of them released on the cultishly adored experimental psych-noise indie Fleece Records. Some of 1995's Chlorophyll has a certain acoustic delicacy to it, while 1997's Tardy All the Time is a full-fledged freakout with Bonya's overdubbed vocals dueling with her kitchen-sink one-woman band, blending her folk roots with evermore abrasive influences.
