Kindred

The Caribbean duo Kindred specializes in world music with an unmistakably urban feel. Comprised of members Omari and Akinde, Kindred originally formed in 1992 and quickly became one of the biggest groups in the Trinidad and Tobago area. From the beginning, the duo have written and produced their own music (which they dub the ‘new conscious dance music'), with several singles emerging from 1992-95, including ‘Dis Trini Could Flow', ‘Doh Stop', ‘Freedom Jam', and ‘Get On'.
