Biography
A hard rock band from Austin, TX, Lions were born when vocalist/guitarist Matt Drenik and drummer Jake Perlman's previous band, the Good Looks, fell apart mid-tour in the summer of 2005. After hooking up with second guitarist/backup vocalist Austin Calman and bassist Trevor Sutcliffe, Lions gained quick notoriety for their chaotic, high-energy live shows and fuzzed-out, groove-oriented songwriting, then recorded their first EP, Volume One, to coincide with performances at their hometown's SXSW festival in March 2006. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia
