Biography
Seattle's Long Faces mix '60s psychedelics and New York punk for their own dose of alternative rock. Erik 4-A (vocals/guitar), Otto D. Struct (guitar), Dan Stanard (bass), and Robert McNaughty (drums) formed in 1998 after a long haul of performing with various Seattle musicians and bands. They wanted something more grounded, something based around rootsy rock & roll as well. Plugging into influences such as the Velvet Underground, Johnny Cash, Johnny Thunders, and the Flatlanders, the Long Faces issued their debut Why? on Vagrant Records in 1999. ~ MacKenzie Wilson
