Los Socios Del Ritmo

A venerable institution of Mexican popular music, Los Socios Del Ritmo was founded by Luis Antonio Ruiz in 1962, in the southeastern sea town of Campeche. Customarily associated with Mexican cumbia, over the course of its lengthy existence the band also displayed a keen ear for other tropical genres (merengue, ska, salsa, mambo), and even romantic balladry. Indeed, this flexibility allowed Los Socios Del Ritmo to stay active for more than 60 uninterrupted years, gaining new generations of fans with their constant touring and festive concerts, and recording more than 70 albums ...
