A native of the Netherlands, Menno Van Delft attended the Sweelinck Academy of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where he pursued studies in harpsichord, organ, and musicology. Later, he studied at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and the University of Utrecht. His teachers included harpsichordists Gustav Leonhardt and Bob van Asperen, organists Piet Kee and Jacques van Oortmerssen, and musicologist Willem Elders.
