Biography
b. 5 June 1940, Kirkintilloch, Scotland. A popular singer with a beautiful soprano voice, Moira Anderson studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music, learning to play several instruments. While still in her teens, she had her first break in an Andy Stewart show at the Gaiety Theatre in Ayr, which lead to feature billing in the following Popplewell Gaiety winter production, and further work on the variety circuit.
