Longtime friends Anthony Nigro and Colin Wyatt formed Osgoods before they'd graduated high school, influenced by the '80s pop of the day. They continued their affiliation -- the former on vocals and guitar, the latter on drums -- while they attended college together in Tuscon, AZ. During this time, the duo's songwriting evolved, influenced by the jangly side of R.E.M. and the Feelies, and some live performances resulted.
