Born in 1969, East Coast singer/songwriter Paul Ruderman is a member of the post-Baby Boomer generation. But the artists who did the most to shape his musical personality and vision are not the stereotypical Gen-X alternative rockers; Ruderman's primary influences are icons of the Baby Boomer generation, and they range from Bob Dylan, the Byrds, Simon & Garfunkel, and Jackson Browne to the Beatles and John Lennon's early-'70s post-Beatles solo output.
