North Carolina's folk/Americana scene has been flourishing since the 70's, and one of the first to build their reputation in the area was singer/songwriter PJ Brunson. After graduating from Winthrop University with a music degree, she made Charlotte the center of her operations and began performing in the area. Despite years of live performances, she put together her first nationally released CD in 2002, Come Hell or High Water.
