Preacher Jack

Preacher Jack was the alias of wildman pianist John Lincoln Coughlin, a self-taught performer with an encyclopedic knowledge of classic honky tonk, rockabilly and boogie-woogie. Earning a cult following during the 1960s and 1970s while enjoying an extended stay performing at a club in Boston's North Shore area, he eventually came to the attention of rocker George Thorogood, who helped him win a contract with Rounder Records.
