Stephen Lennon (vocals/guitar), John Robertson (vocals/guitar), Paul Barry (vocals/bass) and Chris Kowalski (drums) were all pupils at a secondary school in Edinburgh, Scotland when their home-recorded demo tape secured a recording deal with Zoom, a local independent label. The group's two singles betrayed an obvious immaturity, but they also unveiled the germ of a songwriting talent.
