Rán

A multi-faceted (jazz, R&B, rock, hip-hop, and funk, to name a few) Indonesian group that performed in both Indonesian and English, RAN were fronted by Anindyo Baskoro (Nino) on vocals, Rayi Putra on raps and vocals, and Astono Andoko on guitar. The group's first album, RAN for Your Life, was issued in 2007, and was bolstered by the success of the single "Pandangan Pertama." In 2008, RAN landed a high-profile gig at that year's Java Jazz Festival. ~ Chris True
