Richard Thompson

One of the giants of the U.K. folk-rock scene, Richard Thompson is an outstanding guitarist, songwriter, and vocalist who first made a name for himself as a member of the band Fairport Convention. As Fairport evolved from the British answer to Jefferson Airplane to the nation's premiere folk-rock act, Thompson left the band in 1971, releasing a solo LP before recording a handful of critically celebrated albums with his wife, singer Linda Thompson.
