In a country whose music is based on harmonization, Ricky (full name Randimbiarison) stands out as a superlative solo vocalist and has given birth to "Rickeymania." Performing what he calls "vakojazzana" (a blend of jazz and vako-drazana folk music), Ricky has collaboated with the a cappella group Salala as well as with an electric band. ~ Leon Jackson
