Shiva

This UK rock trio, which combined both progressive rock and metal traditions, was formed in 1981 by multi-instrumentalist John Hall (vocals, guitar, keyboards). Adding Andy Skuse (bass, keyboards) and Chris Logan (drums) they signed to Heavy Metal Records in 1982. Together they debuted with Firedance, a complex and inventive album which brought to mind memories of Rush, Deep Purple and Uriah Heep to its generally sympathetic reviewers.
