Shox

A post-punk trio that consisted of Mike Atkinson, Jacqui Brookes, and John Peters, Shox recorded one single in 1980 for Axis before hanging it up. The only other releases from Axis were singles from the Fast Set, the Bearz, and Bauhaus. After that, the label went by another name (the now-legendary 4AD) since another Axis existed and took legal action. The lone Shox single was No Turning Back, the fourth and final Axis release. Brookes went on to record for MCA, issuing Sob Story under her own name in 1984. ~ Andy Kellman
