Biography
New Brunswick, NJ's the Anderson Council formed in July of 1999. Lead vocalist/guitarist Peter Horvath and drummer/vocalist Brian King had previously been members in Seething Grey. After that group disbanded, Horvath and King decided to develop a new band that would be based on their interest in late-'60s British psych-pop and power pop. Horvath had already recorded numerous demos in this style, which he attributed to an imaginary group called "Archie Mantel & the Fireplace" (he was the sole member).
