The Bedrocks

Formed in Leeds, England, in late 1967, this West Indian sextet comprised Trevor Wisdom (b. Jamaica; organ), Owen Wisdom (b. Jamaica; bass guitar), Leroy Mills (b. St. Kitts; trumpet), Reg Challenger (b. St. Kitts; drums), William Hixon (b. Monseratt; lead guitar), Paul Douglas (b. Jamaica; tenor saxophone). Their big break came in 1968 when they were offered the opportunity to record at EMI Records with producer Norman Smith (later Hurricane Smith).
