The Signal

This group was formed in 1988 by ex-King Kobra frontman Mark Free, together with one time Alice Cooper rhythm section, Erik Scott (bass/keyboards), and Jan Uvena (drums), with Danny Jacobs (guitar) completing the line-up. Their only album, the Kevin Elson-produced Loud and Clear, was released in the U.S. in 1989 on EMI Records. The commercial, melodic style of rock was aimed specifically at the American market, and highlighted the undoubted talents of Free to full effect, especially on tracks such as "Liar" and "My Mistake," which featured a duet with Mr. Big's Eric Martin.
