Year 5000

Year 5000, or Y5K, is a member of the de facto Portland-Seattle musician exchange. Headed by Seattle-ite Mat Probasco (guitar/vocals) and supported by Oregon musicians Ritchie Young (drums) and Joel Holly (bass), Y5K is a trio in constant evolution. Their one-, four-, and eight-track basement recordings run the musical gamut: spare sampled loops to surf rock to post-punk. And their live show is as unstructured as the band itself.
