Bruno Mars sang a new song called “Chunky” on this week’s “SNL.” It off his upcoming album 24K Magic

This is the first time Mars has sung “Chunky” live. It’s also the second single off his new album, which is slated for release on November 18. Earlier in the show, Mars performed the song “24K Magic.”

As noted earlier, this is Mars’s fourth time as the musical guest on “SNL.” His first stint came in 2010. He was back two years later as the musical performer and host. Quite memorably during that show in 2012, Mars starred in a sketch in which he played an intern named Devin, who saved Pandora from shutting down by impersonating Michael JacksonJustin Bieber, and other singers when the Internet radio network had problems streaming those artists’ music. Mars returned in 2014 with Mark Ronson and performed “Uptown Funk” and “Feel Right.”

A day before coming back to “Saturday Night Live” for his fourth stint, the singer and songwriter posted a photo on Instagram of a bouquet of white roses, with a note from show’s creator and producer Lorne Michaels. It read, “Welcome back to Studio 8H,” and was signed “From Lorne and everyone at SNL.”
