Beyonce, Lin-Manuel Miranda & Taylor Swift Lead 2016 Most Charitable Stars List

Beyoncé ruled the world in many ways this past year, but her latest accolade is due to all of her charitable efforts in 2016. 

Earlier this week, DoSomething.org deemed the pop titan the most charitable celebrity of the year on their annual Celebs Gone Good list, which praises stars who use their celebrity to make social change, and we have to agree with the acknowledgement. Bey brought awareness a number of times, including her advocacy for the Black Lives Matter movement, her donation to the water crisis in Flint, Michigan and her fight against North Carolina's House Bill 2.

While Lin-Manuel Miranda follows Bey on the annual list for his donation to the Hispanic Federation's Proyecto Somos Orlando initiative after the Pulse Nightclub shooting massacre, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato and Shailene Woodley round out the top five tier.
