According to one of his closest friends and collaborators, Kanye West suffered memory loss when he was hospitalized at the end of 2016.

Back in November, West abruptly cancelled his SAINT PABLO TOUR after making harsh comments about Jay Z and Beyoncé, and positive comments about Donald Trump. Almost immediately after this cancellation, the rapper was hospitalized for a mental breakdown and given a psychiatric evaluation. Now, there are new details about West's medical emergency that landed him in a hospital bed.

While speaking to PopSugar, Malik Yusef revealed that West lost some memory during this ordeal. "I’ve been to his house [and] sat down with him for about six, seven hours, just walking through his health and recovery," Yusef said during Grammy weekend. "His memory is coming back, which is super good. [He’s] just healing, spending time with his family."

Yusef also added that West isn't working on any music right now. He's just relaxing and taking it easy with his family. "Saint is getting big and walking, playing with toys, so that invigorates him," West's friend said.

We're glad West is getting back to his old self, one day at a time. Check out his friend's interview here.
