Here's Harry Styles Talking About Those, Ahem, Self-Love Lyrics On His Album

Following a string of chart-toppers like Britney Spears and P!NK, Harry Styles has officially joined the Pop Stars Talk Masturbation Club, with the release of his self-titled solo album, which includes eyebrow-raising lyrics in "From the Dining Table."
Styles spoke with The New York Times about the lines ("Woke up alone in this hotel room / Played with myself, where were you?"), which yes, speak to self-love, offering the outlet with a diplomatic response to the closing track on his 10-song set.
"I've never felt the need to explain myself in terms of my personal life. I very much feel like writing is the way you get to say what you want to say and be like, 'That's all I have to say on it,'" the 23-year-old explained. "With that one, I think it's up to everyone’s interpretation, which is obviously an incredibly diplomatic answer. The line in particular, in context of the verse, paints the picture of the feeling that I was going at. It’s much more powerful when not taken simply as what it is."
Knowing the buzz around the topic, Styles followed-up his answer with lines that (more or less) confirm just why buzz around the topic exists. "Was that an all right answer for that question? I think it was all right!" the former One Direction bandmate said, adding, "I think we danced around that O.K."
