Iggy Azalea Isn't Replacing Anitta With Maluma On 'Switch' Remix
July 9, 2017
Iggy Azalea's been hit with a number of hateful messages from fans of Brazilian star Anitta, who is featured on her all too under underrated summer bop "Swish," because they think that the rapper is replacing the singer with Maluma on a remix to the cut.
Always the vocal star, I-G-G-Y took to Twitter to hit back at those reports and let everyone know that no one is indeed replacing the star. "There is no Switch [remix], I am introducing Maluma on stage for his performance," Iggy wrote in reference to his performance at the Premios Juventud 2017. "He's a close friend and I support him in whatever he does. . . .I'm worn a little thin with 'fans' attacking me all the time then apologizing, I've done nothing wrong & I’ll be friends with whom I wish."
This all started after Iggy and Maluma were spotted having lunch together, but can’t two superstars get some grub without all of this fuss? Either way, expect "Switch" on the rapper’s heavily-delayed Digital Distortion, which will indeed come out in the next few months even though the rapper revealed that the project will not spawn any other singles. Le sigh.
There is no switch rmx, iam introducing Maluma on stage for his performance. He's a close friend and I support him in whatever he does. 👍
