Justin Bieber's "Purpose World Tour" cancellation incited the reaction of plenty of fans and celebrities. Louis Tomlinson is the latest star to weigh in on the news, which saw the pop star abruptly nix his remaining leg of his trek due to exhaustion. Still, the "Back to You" singer didn't cut his pop peer as much slack as you'd think.

"Obviously, you have to be in a good position mentally, but I also think, to a certain degree, when you're signing up to something, you should see it through," the former One Direction singer said of the headline in a recent radio interview.

Tomlinson understands the support and platform that his fanbase has built for him and is one to keep that as a priority. "There's never enough I can say or do for the fans. Honestly, I think people can forget that, to be quite honest," the 25-year-old explained. "I get it. The whole game is so exciting and crazy, but at the end of the day, it's the people that are buying your records that are putting you right where you are."

It's a little less sympathetic than, say, the views of John Mayer. Following the pop star's announcement, Mayer took to Twitter to sound off on the news, giving him props for making his health a priority. "When someone pulls remaining dates of a tour, it means they would have done real damage to themselves if they kept going," the 39-year-old industry vet wrote. "We've lost so many great artists lately. I give Justin 👍🏼 👍🏼  for realizing it was time to call it. You should too."

Bieber's "Purpose World Tour" started in March 2016 in support of his blockbuster LP, Purpose, and went onto gross $163.3 million in the last year, according to industry tracker Pollstar. All tickets for the trek were refunded.
