MC Lyte Marries Marine Corp Boyfriend John Wyche In Jamaica (PHOTO)

MC Lyte is now a married woman! The well-respected hip hop pioneer said "I do" to her new husband, Marine Corp Veteran and entrepreneur John Wyche, in Jamaica.

The nuptials took place at the Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort. Kelly Price sang at the ceremony, while DJ Jermaine rocked the reception. Even Slick Rick was there rapping “Children's Story” along with guests. Other famous attendees included Lil Mama, Yo-Yo, SWV’s Coko and many more. “It was so beautiful and a fairytale,” Lyte told Essence, who has exclusive photos of the wedding. “I got my king.” 

The now-married couple met back in 2016 when Lyte messaged Wyche on Match.com and there was an immediate connection. One year later, they're now man and wife. "It’s incredible so many people came out to support our union. We are starting out with a strong foundation,” Wyche told Essence. “A few months into getting to know Lana I knew I wanted this woman as my wife."

Lyte added: "One day when we're talking and I looked into his eyes. It was so much honesty and truth in his eyes. My biggest thing with dating was to be vulnerable. And with him, I could totally let go and be myself."
