In an interview with UpRoxx.com, G-Eazy opened up about working with Cardi B, his upcoming album and much more.
On Wednesday (Aug. 30), the Cali rapper performed in New Orleans for Bud Light’s Dive Bar Tour. He surprised his fans when he brought out Halsey to perform their new song "Her & I" and Cardi B to performed their collab "No Limit."
During his interview, G-Eazy revealed why he wanted to work with the Bronx rapper and former Love & Hip Hop star so badly. "I’m a super fan of her and everything she’s doing right now is incredible. I think she represents where music is today," he told the outlet. "It’s real, it’s raw, it’s honest, it’s pure. It’s not contrived, it’s not overly thought out or put together."
G-Eazy continued: "It’s just what the youth is reacting to, what the culture is reacting to, what sounds and feels good. You know? What sounds and feels good is what’s working. Her music’s incredible. Her whole personality, her energy, everything."
