On Sunday (Sept. 24), stars rallied together at “A Concert for Charlottesville: An Evening of Musical Unity,” a benefit concert in response to the Neo-Nazi/white supremacist march that occurred in the Virginian city in August.
The concert was hosted by the Dave Matthews Band, who's members are from Charlottesville, Virginia. Some of the acts who took the stage to perform are Ariana Grande, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams, The Roots, Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes, Coldplay, Cage the Elephant and Chris Stapleton. Stevie Wonder even made an appearance and performed "Imagine" with the Dave Matthews Band.
Though the entire show was very moving and powerful, the moment Williams kneeled down to show support for Colin Kaepernick was a major highlight of the night. "If I want to get on my knees right now for the people of my city, for the people of my state, that's what this flag is for!" the recording artist/producer told the crowd.
See that moment and several more from the benefit show last night below.
