In an exclusive interview, Luke Bryan talked with Good Morning America‘s Robin Roberts for the special titled Living Every Day: Luke Bryan bringing viewers into his life on the farm, his career and how the tragic moments in his life impacted him.
Shortly before moving to Nashville at age 19, Luke Bryan put his dreams on hold to be with his family after his older brother Chris was killed in a car accident. Instead of heading to writing songs, Luke went to college at Georgia Southern University and graduated with a business administration degree.
After college, he moved back home where his father told him that his life at home "will always be here," and it was time for Luke to make the move to Nashville. Shortly after the move, he was signed to Capitol Records and then made his Grand Ole Opry debut on April 6th, 2007. But only a month after his debut, Luke's sister passed away.
The trials and tribulations Luke faced during his teen years and following the first steps of his career are unimaginable, but he remains positive. Luke said, in the special preview below,
“You have to honor their memory by living and you have to be a positive light for people.”
